This is our foray into Conscious Hip Hop combined with our signature chanting featuring Chants frontman and lyricist Kevin Fraser of Yesai & Chief Black Fox. The song is a journey starting with spoken word by Chief Black Fox on top of a beautiful soundscape with vocals and violin by Jenni Asher. It then morphs into a slamming hip hop rap verse with conscious lyrics created by Kevin. Dave Allen on kit gives the song the groove it needs. It moves into a heart opening chant motif with Renette, Dawn, Kevin & Jenni leading the way on vocals & harmonies, Jamie on world percussion and Jenni on violin, The chorus “Words and Sound” provides the context.
It then build into a rocker with Asher Levy ripping a bluesy guitar solo and slide guitar harmonization by Shane Burroughs ending with Kevin’s heartfelt wailing over the words of Chief Black Fox.
