For the past 14 years, Jamie Papish has been recording with composers of TV and Film soundtracks as well as on many CD projects. As a professional player, what makes Jamie unique is the variety of percussion instruments he plays (Doumbek, Tabl Beledi, Riq, Udu Drum, Frame Drum, Daf, Bongos, Shakers, Cajon, Davul, Tappan, Djembe, Bendir, Karkabas, Zills/Sagats) and styles, such as Sacred music and Middle Eastern music, Sephardic, Funk, R&B, Kirtan to name a few. His ability to come up with the best combination or percussion for the particular track or cue makes him well like by band leaders, music producers and sound engineers. As a Los Angeles session player, Jamie understands the needs of composers and always comes to a session prepared with the music learned ready to dig in. He is seasoned in the studio and knows how to best record his instruments for the highest quality sound.
